New Toothpaste
Every night Ann and I brush our teeth with the kids just before their bedtime. It's part of their routine and they love it. Yesterday we tried a new toothpaste - instead of the cocktail of Elmo and Pony 'fake' toothpaste they're used to we substituted Crest Elmo toothpaste. I know it sounds confusing but 'fake' toothpaste is the kiddie kind to get them used to holding a brush and Crest Elmo is fruity flavored regular toothpaste for toddlers. Okay, got that straight. Jacob just stared at his in disbelief. "Where's Elmo and Pony" he said. Mason, a little braver, put her finger in and tasted it. "It's spicy!" she exclaimed and refused to brush. But we persevere. Tonight we tried again. Mason pulled a face and Jacob, sweet Jacob, when his sister wasn't looking, rubbed his toothbrush onto hers to remove his toothpaste. Honestly!
