Pre-Halloween

So yesterday was Mason & Jacob friend Zoe's 2nd birthday. It was also a pre-Halloween party so we thought we'd give our costumes for next week a test drive. I warn you...these pics are over the top cute! Seriously.

All is well in Lieberland

Just wanted to post because I never really followed up my last post where I was ranting and raving and complaining that I was working and trying to be a mommy and blah blah blah. Poor me. Poor Annie. Not really. That's just how I felt that afternoon so I felt compelled to document it. But the weekend was awesome. Got a chance to unwind. Relax. And I'm not really working this week. So that is good. Real good.

But as a follow up --

Mason is absolutely and completely fine. The bump on her head totally had gone down the next day. Musta been the frozen corn I put on it. I probably over reacted a tad. But it was her head. So what are you gonna do.

Also, Mason and Jacob ordered me flowers and a fancy box of chocolates that came to the house the next day. I think they knew what a tough/week it was for me. So sweet. Beautiful flowers. Tasty chocolates. What's better than that?

Bumps. Grilled Cheeses. And Creative Directors. Oh my!

So I haven't blogged in 10 days! What??
I'm really really sorry I've been neglecting the blog but it's getting harder and harder to keep up. The kids are growing like crazy and doing things I could have never imagined.
But the past few weeks I've been working. Like almost full time. On a number of jobs. Some fun. Some not so fun. But it's really hard to work and be a mom. I think I've said this before, but this morning it was particularly hard.

I mean, even though I have my nanny come at 10:00 I still have a whole morning before I start my work day. And this morning Mason decided to run head on into our makeshift coffee table that I thought was baby safe. I mean, I wouldn't have gotten the ugly thing if it weren't for the babies. But anyway...I guess it still has hard edges. So Mason ran into it this morning and had a ginormous bump in the middle of her forehead. First she screamed. Then she went all quiet because she was crying so hard she couldn't even speak. Then she started choking I think cause she couldn't breather. Ugh. In the mean time Jacob is throwing the shape sorter at me and demanding I open it up and take out all the shapes.

She calmed down and appeared to be fine. Except for the huge lump thats in the middle of her forehead. I called the doctors office to see what i should look for and they still haven't called me back and it's been nearly 3 hours. Thank you Riverside Pediatrics. Way to go. I was going to do the looking her eyes to see if they dialate thing but i can't find a working flashlight.

Again, no cause for alarm. I think she's OK. It was just super scary.

So my nanny got to my place at 10:00 and took the kids to the park as she usually does in the morning. So I quickly get ready, clean up, throw in a couple loads of laundry blah blah blah. I threw on a grilled cheese for the kids to have for lunch when my creative director calls me about this job I'm working on. "Hi. How are you? Oh, of course I can talk." (me thinking the kids aren't here) So I go into my room and shut the door and talk to my CD about what I need to work on today. It was maybe about 6 or 7 minutes into the conversation that I smelled the burning.

Yes, I left the grilled cheese on the stove. Completely forgot I was cooking it. Almost burned the damn place down. And burned my finger on top of it.

So that's how my morning went. But I best get to work. Just wanted to vent. I dunno. I kinda suck at trying to combine mommyhood with the whole creative copywriter thing. Then throw the whole wife, fantasy football manager, sports fan and trying to keep up with friends and family's birthdays and baby and wedding gifts and forgetabout it.

But I have two beautiful babes. And a sexy husband babes. And that's all that really matters, right?

Walk like a man...

So here are the vids, as promised, of little Jacob walking. Again, I apologize for the delay but things just seem to be really busy these days. (So busy that I'm 99% sure I actually left the Flip video camera I used to take these videos at my table at Panera after I put them on the computer. Yes, I'm an idiot. And yes, that's how busy.) I'll write a little update on the cutest twins EVER soon. But for now, you should love these cute videos.

Sir Galahad is WALKING!!!

"Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk,
I'm a woman's man, no time to talk."

And suddenly I have two walkers. It's c c c crazy. He's been taking little steps here and there for the past week or so. But starting on Friday, the little guy just stood up and started walking. I knew he had it in him. He was studying little Mason the whole time. Granted, he's still a bit shaky and kind of looks like Frankenstein...but my little Jacob is walking!! Stay tuned for a video. Don't have time to post now, but just wanted to share the AWESOME news.
