It's a Curl

Jacob has hair issues. The poor kid didn't stand a chance - look at his parents' hair and you'll know what I mean. "We have to do something" said Ann and she didn't take too kindly to my suggestion of a razor so she went and bought Jacob some hair products. Not just any hair products. Oh no. These are from a company called "It's a Curl" which makes products for African American and biracial babies. Now I may not be the most observant father in the World but I'm pretty sure our son is neither African American or biracial. Nevertheless I sit back and watch Ann apply hair products, called Patty Cake Conditioner, Itsy Bitsy Spirals Moisturizer and Ring Around the Curlies Creme to our metrosexual son. Poor fella.

Happy Birthday Auntie Mel!

So this video was taken at the end of the day. You'll have to excuse the tired expressions. And as a side note, Mason had a really tough day. (If you couldn't tell from the video) She's still a bit sick and really not well at all. Hey, it's tough being a 15 1/2 month old.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MELINDA!!

XOXO

The Dillio

So lets see...what have we been doing since Halloween...well...

We went to the doctor and got our shots. Big time, controversial shots. MMR shots. Flu shots. And a couple boosters. It was a glorious day. We also got weighed and heighted.

Mr. Jacob weighed in at: 23.8 lbs, 30 inches.

Ms. Mason weighed in at: 22.7 lbs, 28.5 inches

We've been walking, running and climbing all over the place. We've been babbling non-stop. Jacob has been dancing like a mad man. I've tried to catch this on video for a post at a later date. Mason brushes her hair. And both the kids are kind of learning what it means to "clean up". Well, Jacob is getting really good at it. Mason pretends to put stuff away and then psyches you out at the last minute by putting it back. And of course I have to sing this really stupid "clean up. clean up. everybody everywhere. clean up. clean up. everybody do your share" song. Ugh. What have I become?

Mason has been sick all week with a high fever and a terrible cold. We even had to miss my cousin Lindsey & Eric's wedding because of it. I think she's getting better. Which is good. It's sad when the little ones can't breathe. I swear I have to follow her around with a tissue cocked and ready because she could blow at any moment. She sneezes and gobs of snot comes out covering her face and cheeks and if I'm not quick enough she tries to wipe it off herself with her hands. Ew. Poor girl. She looks the same as someone who got "slimed" in Ghostbusters.

But here are some semi-recent pics. I think they just get cuter...

This was taken a few weeks ago. This is the first time they wore their winter coats from Nana & Papa. So, they're a little big. But they're warm. And winter is really really long.

Just a typical day at 704 Clinton St.

My little Harvey.

My Sleepy Superheros

Great moments from Halloween.

This kind of made me feel like a mean mom. Harvey made me video it.

It's tough fighting crime in Hoboken. Real tough. Notice the overly loud band in the background driving by on a float. And to think I thought my kids were light sleepers. I apologize to everyone I've shusshed in the past. Also making an appearance in this vid are the twins friends, Ryan & Callie, Addison & Jackson, and Burke & James.

Later that evening. The end of this clip is the best ever.

Happy Halloweenies 2009

I had never been to the annual Hoboken Ragamuffin Parade. The kids were alive and well last year (and were Thing 1 and Thing 2) but Jacob was insane. And I was afraid to take them out of the house. Yes, I was afraid of my baby. But I was afraid of a lot of things back then. Not anymore.

Harvey, Grandma and I braved the mean streets of Hoboken with Superman & Supergirl in the wagon we had from Aunt Jennie's wedding. It was PACKED. But lots of fun. All of their friends were there. The only problem was that the parade was right smack dab in the middle of when they usually nap. So they were tired. And so were their friends. Ch ch check em out:

Tons o' people line Washington St.

It started off good...

They even posed for a few shots.

Ahh...my little Clark Kent.

Even Mase was all smiles.

Great Gumballs! It's a sleeping Batman & Robin. With Catwoman and the Joker. Bhuaaaa ha ha.

Sleepy superheros.

Mason passed out. Jacob fell over.

I felt bad so I turned him around and lay him on her lap. It made for really cute pics anyway.

Halloween Warm Up

So, here are pics from Friday. Grandma Sherry came to visit for the weekend so as you can imagine things got a little nutty. Friday Mason decided to get up at 6AM. Mostly because she had a horrendous shit in her pants, but she wanted to start the day. Which is quite understandable. So I brought her into my room so she wouldn't wake poor Jacob. We busted out some blocks they got from their birthday but we never gave to them because we thought they had too many toys. She loved building things (with my help) and thought it was even more hysterical when they were knocked down.

Then Jacob woke up and the morning began. He woke up a little sad so Grandma Sherry gave him a surprise. (and Mason too) Their very own miniature Brobee! And who doesn't love the little green one from Yo Gabba Gabba.

Then we went to a special Halloween music class. There was lots of singing and dancing. Blowing bubbles and playing with balls. Woo-hoo. And best of all, I got to get yet, ANOTHER use out of their costumes before actual Halloween.

"Hmm...is there anyone in this class as cool as me?"

Superman, Supergirl, Batman & Robin. Oh yeah, and Grandma and Gillian.

"Hey mom, I can fly."

Music class really takes it out of you.

Random Cute Pics

So I really wanna post my Halloween pics from the Hoboken Ragamuffin Parade this weekend but I noticed there were some other pics I've been meaning to post that I haven't so here it goes:

Check out our hot fall attire. Mason LOVES her vest. It's got a furry hood. Who wouldn't.

Mason excited she's holding a ball. Check out the teeth.

My babes. Lookin' all grown up and stuff.

Rare family photo of my siblings and I and our significant others all decked out in Pats gear. Brady rules!

The famous red bush in front of my parents house. Oh how my mom loves the red bush.

Who doesn't like a good swing? Mr. Jacob clearly does.

Just a typical Saturday afternoon in the Lieberman house.

And a typical Sunday one.

She looks like a little hottie in her jersey. But she won't smile for the camera.

Showing off those teeth again.

Aunt Nia. Came to visit all the way from Jacksonville. Jacob's such a flirt. Especially in his fire engine PJs.

Mason, Jacob and their BFFs James and Burke. Burke is the one on the left licking Mason's hand. I think he'll def be the one to buy the beer when these guys get into high school.
