See what happens when mommy isn't home...

Only good things. Of course. I've been working in the city this week. Booo. But yay! Now Mason can buy a Prom dress and Jacob a Beamer. But I think I've already made that joke before.

Anyway...I left pretty early yesterday and I didn't even get the kids dressed. But Sarah (our beloved nanny) took care of that. She even took pictures!! And the kids always seem to look better when she dresses them. And she does a way better job with their hair. Hmmm.

Just wanted to share how cute they looked yesterday. And I totally missed it! Oh well.

Coolest Babies In Hoboken (Reprise)

Yeah that's right. We went to the park on Friday and it was beautiiiiiiiiful. And we're not embarrassed to wear our shades in public. All the cool babies are doing it.

In the stroller and ready to go.

Scoping out the scene. Lookin' for 2 year olds.

Yeah, I'm not afraid to show a little belly. Or a lotta belly. Depending on how you look at it.

Very busy. Very, very busy.

Just sleeping with my boyfriend on the park bench. Mind your own beeswax!

Swings and see-saws and shades, oh my!

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

"Leave me alone, ma! Geeez. You're just like grandma. Enough with the pictures!"

Mase Update

So we got results back and it looks like our little Mason does, in fact have a urinary tract infection. Poor Mason. It is uncommon for children under 4 so the next step is trying to find out what caused it. So me and Dr. P are on it. Have no fear.

But for all you worry warts out there, know that Mason is feeling fine. No symptoms whatsoever. But she's a pretty tough chick. Anyway, that's all. Will let you know more soon.

Word.

Traumatized

Dunno who was more traumatized me or little Mason.

I don't think I posted about it because I didn't want anyone to worry, but poor Mason was sick again last week. Had another crazy high fever of 104. Poor thing. We took her to the pediatrician and they couldn't find anything wrong with her. So they wanted to take a urine sample to rule that out. So they put some external baggy thingy over her vajay-jay that was supposed to catch her pee and then we were supposed to take it and put it in a cup and bring it back to the doc.

Well at some point she ripped it off, we didn't really collect that much ect. But they sent it off.

Fast forward to today and I get a voicemail from Mason's doctor saying that the test came back positive (for what I'm not really sure -- maybe a UTI or something??) but that she wanted to send another sample just in case the one we sent previously was contaminated or something. But this time she wanted to make sure the sample was clean and wanted to "catheterize" the poor thing. "When can you bring her in?"

Oy. Well this all happened so fast. I had no idea what was even happening. But since we were already out (we had just left the park) I figured I'd take her right in. And yes, I had Jacob too. And yes, I was by myself today.

Well, I'll spare everyone the details, but it was just AWFUL. Worse than any shot she's ever had. Poor girl was screaming. I was holding her down, plus a nurse and the doctor. But I think she only really saw me -- cause I was holding her upper body trying to calm her. Now I fear that she is going to associate me with that awfulness. Gawd.

She calmed down after but passed out in the stroller by the time we got home. No lunch. Just sleep for my sweet Mason. But I hear her calling now. Fingers crossed she doesn't hate me.

And we should get results on Friday...hopefully it was nothing. And this was just precautionary.
But no one worry. All is well. She hasn't had a fever since Saturday and she's been acting totally crazy. As she does. Crazy Mason.

The coolest babies in Hoboken

Over the river and through the woods

Yes, we were at grandmother's house last weekend.

It had been a while. We hadn't actually been up to Boston since Thanksgiving. Shame on us. But well, things are crazy busy when you have twins. And are working on a hot new Starbucks campaign. And are trying to cure cancer. So yes, us Lieberman's are busy people.

But not too busy to take pics and celebrate Grandma's belated birthday.

I think my highlight of the weekend might have been when my dad gave the kids cupcakes for breakfast. Or maybe it was the peanut butter Captain Crunch he got Mason addicted to. Nah, it was definitely when he was sharing his blue icey drink from Dairy Queen with her. She took a small sip out of his straw, looked up at him and gave a great big, ginormous, "Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!"
Really. The girl had a baby orgasm I think.

Another funny part of the weekend was when we were playing outside and a leaf blew up on Jacob. He was scared. Started to cry. But Harvey showed him that there is no need to be scared of leaves and taught him to "stamp on the leaf". Trust me, when Jacob stamps it's pretty hilarious.

And finally, Mr. Jacob took a successful bath without his bath seat. Which was awesome. What a big, strong, brave boy. We took that as a positive sign and have been putting them in the tub without their bathseats all week as well. It's been hot and cold. But we will persevere.

A special shout-out to all the family members who made the weekend so awesome -- Aunt Jennie & Uncle Andy, Aunt Lena & Uncle Mat, Aunt Rhonda and GG Harriet. Thanks for hangin'.

Grandma trying for a photo-op. This is harder than it looks.

Don't know who's happier...Mason or Grandpa.

Stud.

Puzzles take high levels of concentration. Especially when they are making animal noises.

Mason loves her slide. Almost as much as blue drinks from Dairy Queen.

Another action shot.

And yes, she flips herself over. She thinks it's funny.

Awwwww.

Africa Hot!

So I think it's like a hundred degrees today in Hoboken. Seriously, it's like June or something. Took the kiddos out to the park super early this morning to beat the crowd - like 9:45 or so. And we had a blast. But the heat was a little much. Also, I didn't have the proper foot attire on the kids as I haven't really got them sandles yet. So their little feet were overheating and causing their faces to turn red. We left the park around 11:00 and went to get a vanilla milk shake. Does it get much better than that? I think not. Especially since it's April.

I dressed them up in some outfits they got from grandma and grandpa I think about a year ago. They are just getting into them now. And Jacob's pants are still too long. I probably should have put Jacob in shorts but his knees are all scuffed up from a tumble he took last night when we were running around on the patio outside. Plus, I figured the pants were linen so no biggie. Yup, that's how fancy he is. He's only 20 months and he wears linen pants.

Enjoy.

Passover & Easter 2010

Passover and Easter are in the air. And we intend to do it up right.

A festive Passover. Didn't get a shot of the slow cooker brisket and onions. Seriously. It was amazing.

Took my little Jewish babies on an Easter Egg Hunt this morning. Most of their twin friends were there and so was there little friend Ryan. They actually had a blast. (and as you can see in the pic above they were totally excited to go!)

They didn't collect many eggs though. They picked them up. Then dumped them out. And then the eggs were stolen by bigger kids who had enormous baskets. Huh. I've actually never been to an Easter Egg hunt before but I thought it was pretty amazing. There must have been like 1000 eggs on the lawn and it took about 30 seconds for them all to go. Seriously. It was insane. It was hard to take it all in as I was watching my kids to make sure they didn't get trampled. But fun was had by all. Especially Mason - who really enjoyed jumping off of the curb more than anything. Weird girl.

Where have all the eggs gone?

Don't take my picture. Not nice.

Ryan trying to sweet talk mason for her eggs. Typical male.

Awww...sharing. A rare Hoboken sighting.

Nonchalantly across the bridge.

Jacob used to be really careful across the bridge. No more.

THE CHOCOLATE BUNNIES

A special shout out to Nic & Jeff. We'll let the pictures do the talking on this one. Pretty self-explanatory.

For the record...Mason ate the ears. Jacob nibbled on it's head. We'll see what happens tomorrow.

Then we went back to the park. To work off our chocolate bunnies.

I know I'm cute. Dammit.

I slide all by myself. That's right.

Action shot.

And more bridge action.

Was a fun day for all. I think.

The Park is in the Air

So the weather has just recently started being nice again. Real nice. Thus it's time for the park again. But now the kiddos are a year older, but not necessarily wiser. Perhaps crazier. And more active. And harder for Mama to keep up with. But maybe I'm just out of practice. Not sure yet really. But I'm just gonna ease into it for now. Keeping up with those little shits is hard! Anyway, here are some pics from Friday. They look like kids now, don't they?

Not sure who that girl is in between them. But she's like totally in my shot.

Jacob standing in his playground house. (random girl is still in my shot)

Mason won't even look at me. She is way too busy.

Mason has found another kid's ball. And Jacob is smiling cause he's just about to steal it.

Hangin' at 704

Just some morning pics I took last week of Mason, Jacob and I hanging out at 704 Clinton. Where there's always a party. Especially before 9:00 AM.

Mason's latest trick. Climbing into the window sill. It's pretty awesome. NOT.

Jacob just looking cute as ever. As he always does. He was just about to yell at me for taking his picture.

Jacobs Precious Eggs

Jacob is obsessed with "shakey" eggs. They are like his baby. Seriously.
Jacob is also obsessed with the camera lately and does not take kindly to being photographed or filmed.

Aww...sweet Jacob Galahad.
