Saturday Harvey and I took Mason and Jacob to the circus. We went with 4 of their friends so their were 12 of us total. The venue was the Prudential Center in Newark (where the Devils play.) This was their first, actual show where you had to buy tickets and seats. It was two hours long with a brief intermission.
All in all things went superb. I had a ton of anxiety (kind of like I feel when we are about to fly with the kids) and it wasn't nearly as bad as I had imagined. All went pretty smoothly I would say - thanks to the gigantic popcorn we purchased upon entering the arena. What did Mason and Jacob like best from the Circus? Was it the clowns? The horsies? The zebras? The elephants (which Mason informed me she'd like to ride.) No. No. No. And No. And it wasn't the strong men or tight rope walkers. Or even the tigers. It was the popcorn. For sure.
But Jacob held onto that popcorn for dear life whilst sharing it with Mason. They finished it.
Also, at one point towards the end of the show I noticed that Mason was running around the aisle with no shoes and socks on. Seriously?? Yes, seriously. I had to use the flashlight app on my phone to find them down the dirty crevasse of the row in front of us. Oy.
All in all...a success.
Yay for the Circus!
The box of popcorn really was as big as Jacob.

Mason tried the cotton candy but didn't like it.
Another action show of our time at the Circus.
